Description:
Injection Molding Technician working in the medical device manufacturing industry
Tasks and
Responsibilities:
Remove and hang molds
Troubleshoot molding machine controls
Troubleshoot and repair electric and pneumatic problems on molding machines
Assist in calibration of molding equipment
Complete and maintain molding documentation
Troubleshoot Automated Assembly and Pouching machine problems
Perform routine PMs on Injection Molding and Automated equipment
Maintain spare parts inventory
Assist in Decoupled molding activities
Perform product inspection as needed
Complete Capability studies as needed to assist in Mold Validations
Education and Experience Required:
Familiarity with and/or Knowledge of molding machine operating parameters including pressure controls, mold open and close transition, and cycle time,
Familiarity with and/or Knowledge of mold components such as plastic flow, mold cavities and gating.
Familiarity with and/or Knowledge of mold temperature control systems
Familiarity with and/or Knowledge of plastic pellet vacuum systems and thermoplastics
Ability to handle multiple task assignments with minimal supervision to ensure customer needs are met.
Demonstrated skills in test method development, data analysis and report writing.
Ability to perform basic statistical analysis and make recommendations to engineers.
Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent required
Prefer five years directly related work experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
